FULFILL YOUR 40 HOUR TRAINING REQUIREMENT
What qualifies as a 40 hour comprehensive professional interpreter training?Interpreters are wondering whether adding all of the 3 hours workshops they have taken here and there would fulfill the 40 hours training requirement. The answer is sinmply NO. ARCH has already approached several clients with the same question and the answer has been the same. The 40 hour interpreter training requirement will be satisfied when the interpreter completes a comprehensive well designed 40-hour program such as The Community Interpreter Program (TCI).A 40-hour training course is considered by ARCH clients and the State of Minnesota the minimum threshold for professional interpreting. The Community Interpreter is one of your options to fulfill the needed requirement, and is offered at ARCH with a discounted rate for current/active interpreters. See the pdf attachement below the remaining 2012 TCI sessions and the instruction for registration. There is also a TCI in St. Cloud for those interpreters living outside the metro area. The requirement is for everyone in Minnesota. Take advantage of the time we have left and register now. This is a State requirement. Download PDF (The Community Interpreter)
All training courses and New Interpreter Orientation dates are subject to change due to the availability of the instructor and classroom size. For those who have been given a confirmed date will be contact by a staff from Interpreter Services if a training date has changed.
